1. Need a fitness boost? Take part in up to 14 classes from some of London’s best gyms – including Third Space and Barry’s Bootcamp – at the 2020 Wellness Summit

Bringing together some of the biggest names in the London fitness scene, the Wellness Summit is set to be a day of fitness, pampering treatments and relaxation. Take up to 14 classes, offered by the likes of Third Space, Barry’s Bootcamp and Sweat by BXR, or attend a meditation session by Another Space. Wellness-focused talks are also on the agenda, with topics covering everything from eating well while juggling a busy lifestyle to breath work and boosting confidence. 2. Somerset House is hosting Collect, the only gallery-presented art fair dedicated to modern craft and design

Craft is having a moment, with both the fashion and interior design industries turning away from mass-produced items and promoting traditional techniques and the work of artisans. There’s no better way to get to grips with today’s crafts scene than at Collect, the art fair founded by Craft Council, which has relocated to Somerset House for its 16th show. The only gallery-presented event showcasing modern craft and design, it offers visitors the chance to see – and purchase – exceptional work by over 400 artists representing more than 25 nationalities, from Sweden to Japan and South Korea, as well as leading studios in the UK. 27 February – 1 March, Somerset House WC2R 1LA; craftscouncil.org.uk

3. Helena Bonham Carter, who portray’s the Queen’s sister on The Crown, speaks with Lady Glenconner, the real Princess Margaret’s confidante and lady-in-waiting

Lovers of The Crown won’t want to miss this: as Princess Margaret’s lady-in-waiting and close friend, Lady Glenconner offers a unique, personal account of royal life in her memoir, Lady in Waiting. In her talk with Helena Bonham Carter – who took over the role of Princess Margaret from Vanessa Kirby for the hit Netflix show’s third season – Lady Glenconner is shedding light on the real-life events behind the on-screen drama, as well as the excitements and tragedies of her own life. 29 February, 7.30pm, Richmond Theatre TW9 1QH; tickets via fane.co.uk

4. Get lost in the mesmerising works of British Surrealist artists, from Francis Bacon to Leonora Carrington, at the Dulwich Picture Gallery

Prepare to be mesmerised by this comprehensive showcase of British Surrealist art. Making your way through a series of rooms, each representing a different Surrealist theme, discover works from some of the leading names in the Surrealist movement. Despite its long association with France, British artists were also at the forefront of the radical movement, which left a lasting impact on the 20th century art landscape. 5. Travel-inspired restaurant Wander launches a week of female-led dining events in the lead-up to International Women’s Day

In commemoration of International Women’s Day, Australian chef and restauranteur Alexis Noble will be hosting a series of influential female-led dining events at Wander, her travel-inspired restaurant in Stoke Newington. From a Polka Pants pop-up with founder and chef Maxine Thompson, to a Maltese menu curated by Alexis and her sister – paired with Josephine Perry’s Dormilona wines – each event celebrates the accomplishments of women in the hospitality industry and beyond – By Daniella Saunders. 6. Try a quirky new afternoon tea at Brasserie of Light, inspired by Pantone’s Colour of the Year

Whatever your reaction to Classic Blue, the 2020 Pantone Colour of the Year, it’s hard to argue with the creative approach taken by the Brasserie of Light, which has launched a blue-themed afternoon tea. Guests will be treated to a variety of treats, from blue velvet cake with lavender buttercream to a classic smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwich on beetroot bread, along with a bespoke blue-hued cocktail. 7. Kimono: Kyoto to Catwalk at the V&A explores the traditional garment’s international impact on fashion and culture

Exploring the history, social significant and sartorial impact of the kimono, the V&A’s exhibition is a homage to this ever-evolving garment and icon of the fashion world. One of C&TH’s must-see fashion exhibitions of the year, it features pieces from both the 19th century and modern catwalks, examining how the kimono has been updated and reimagined by designers today, while preserving its centuries-long legacy. 8. Sample cocktails from one of the world’s best bars during the Clumsies’ residency at Madison

Rooftop restaurant and bar is teaming up with the Clumsies, the multi-award winning Athens bar currently 6th on the list of the world’s best, for a one-ff residency. 9. Enjoy Shrove Tuesday the health-conscious way with a special circuit class – and pancakes – at Core Collective Kensington

Maybe a high-powered circuit class doesn’t scream Shrove Tuesday indulgence, but do not fear: Core Collective have teamed up with Fresh Fitness Food, and your hard work will be handsomely rewarded with their delicious cinnamon and apple vegan protein pancakes, served with a range of tasty toppings.
