What’s On In London This Week? 9 – 15 March
1. Try an elevated menu of Andy Warhol’s favourite snacks – think Coca-Cola jelly and cornflake panna cotta – to mark the Tate’s major new Warhol retrospective
Anyone familiar with Andy Warhol’s work will recognise a recurring theme – food. To celebrate the huge Warhol exhibition opening at Tate Modern this week, the Tate restaurant’s head chef Jon Ashatroo created a menu that riffs on some of Warhol’s favourite snacks, using the artist’s autobiography as a guide. Dishes – such as the Tuna Fish Disaster, above, a nod to the artist’s grim piece of the same name – reference aspects of Warhols life and work, as well as his favourite snacks. From 12 March; Visit tate.org.uk for information on the Andy Warhol exhibition, and tate.org.uk for the Tasting Menu.
