The weather outside is frightful (and with a second winter lockdown underway, we can’t do quite so much outside our homes as it is), so we’re staying in and decking our halls instead. Whether Christmas decoration becomes your number one priority the second the clock hits midnight on the 31st of October, or if you can’t face the sight of fairylights before the 22nd of December: simplicity is the key to a rustic Christmas scheme and at C&TH we’ve found ourselves inspired by the homspun quality of Scandi and Alpine-style fireside cosiness. Dig through your bottom drawers for wood, twine, starched linens, greenery and pine cones, add your favourite handmade decorations, and finish off with a scatter of stars.
