Lutyens Grill at The Ned

There’s a touch of 1920s New York to ever-glamorous members’ club The Ned – felt particularly in Lutyens Grill, once used as the former Bank Manager’s office. As the name suggests it’s all about grills here, with meat carved or fish filleted right at your table: think rib-eyes, pork cutlets and grilled lobster (not one for veggies). Their Thanksgiving offering includes slow-roasted USDA prime rib, roast turkey with creamed sweetcorn, Bourbon tart, and apple and cinnamon cobbler. 28 November. Dishes from £8. thened.com

Aqua Shard

aquashard

Celebrate up high at Aqua Shard, which launches it’s first ever Thanksgiving dinner this November. Executive Chef Anthony Garlando has put together a suitably luxurious feast for the occasion, featuring a selection of traditional American dishes with a luxury spin. Begin with juniper smoked salmon with pumpkin and black truffle salad, followed by either grilled lobster with cornbread crumble or roast turkey with all the trimmings. To finish, guests can enjoy not one but two desserts: a mini pecan pie followed by a bigger pumpkin pie, served with sweet potato ice cream, caramelised pecan nuts and charred marshmallows. £75pp, with wine pairing available for £105. 25-29 November. aquashard.co.uk

Kaspar’s at The Savoy

The Savoy may be quintessentially British, but they serve up a stellar American feast. Their Thanksgiving dinner is a five-course affair, featuring the likes of roasted pumpkin curry, turkey with double corn soufflé and traditional pumpkin pie – made all the better enjoyed amid the restaurant’s beautiful art deco surroundings. £75pp. 28 November. thesavoylondon.com

Sweet Chick

Cult chicken and waffle spot Sweet Chick has made its way from Manhattan to London, taking over the Carlucci’s site on Market Place just off Oxford Street. They’ll be spreading the American love this Thanksgiving with a series of seasonal specials, all given a fun Sweet Chick twist: the turkey leg confit is served with a stack of fluffy pumpkin waffles, while the ‘Room for Pie’ cocktail is mixed with wild turkey Bourbon and pecan cardamom oregat. 25 November-1 December. sweetchick.com

Plaquemine Lock

Plaquemine Lock

Sea Containers London

This year riverside hotel Sea Containers London will be giving thanks in a different way: by giving back to the local community. They’ve launched a campaign to tie in with Thanksgiving in support of The Felix Project, the UK charity dedicated to improving sustainability by rescuing edible food waste. As part of this, 20 per cent of sales from their Thanksgiving menu will go towards the charity – dishes up for grabs include a butternut squash, manchego, chestnut and chorizo salad; roasted turkey with all the trimmings; and a pecan and apple pie. On 29 November, surplus food from the restaurant will go towards creating a dessert to be donated to some of the charities that The Felix Project work with. £46pp for three courses. seacontainerslondon.com

Red Rooster, The Curtain

Red Rooster

As the London go-to for Southern soul food (think crispy fried chicken, collard greens and other wholesome grub) coupled with exciting live music, Red Rooster is no stranger to good food and a good time – but their Thanksgiving menu takes things to new heights. Diners will begin with Sammy’s Chicken ‘N’ Waffle served with pickles and hot honey, alongside a brussels sprouts salad with truffle dressing. Larger plates, meanwhile, include roasted turkey breast and ricotta and pumpkin gnocchi. Save some space for dessert though: there’s a pear and blackberry crumble, a pumpkin pie, and doughnuts served with bourbon ice-cream. Our advice? Go hungry! 28 November. £55 for three courses. redroosterldn.com

Brown’s Hotel

Brown's Hotel

Janos Grapow

The Thanksgiving dinner at Brown’s Hotel is a time-honoured tradition. This year it’s being served in Charlie’s, the hotel’s new restaurant overseen by Adam Byatt and headed up by Matt Starling. A set menu offers a New England style clam chowder starter, roast turkey with celeriac gratin, roast squash and sweetcorn fritters, and a pumpkin custard tart for dessert. Be sure to stop by The Donovan Bar for a Cider Sidecar cocktail: the perfect winter warmer made with whiskey, Sassy Cidre Brut syrup and bitters. £49pp for three courses. 28 November. roccofortehotels.com
