Where to See Christmas Lights in London

From a light spectacular thanking our nation’s heroes at Oxford Circus to powerful pink messages of love and unity at Carnaby Street, spread some festive cheer this Winter with a visit to these twinkling London Christmas light displays…

  • Oxford Street

    One of the most highly anticipated Christmas switch-ons in the country, this year Oxford Street are shining a light on the nation’s heroes as a mark of gratitude and to celebrate the support and kindness that has been sprinkled throughout the country. Members of the public are encouraged to visit the Oxford Street website and nominate their 2020 Hero for a chance to win a £500 shopping spree and witness a new hero’s name illuminating the street every week.

  • Covent Garden

    London’s favourite shopping, dining and culture destination becomes even more magical at Christmas when the twinkling lights are up and the famous 60ft British-grown Christmas tree is elegantly adorned. Although there will be no live event this year, take a stroll around Covent Garden and witness the magical 115,000 dazzling lights sprinkled across the Piazza.

  • Winterfest Wembley Park

    Wembley Park Winterfest

    Wembley Park will be shining brighter than ever with the return of Winterfest, a free immersive light trail. This year’s theme is ‘United in Light’, spreading Christmas cheer and giving friends and family uplifting moments to celebrate together, at a time when it is needed most. With a brand-new light installation, ‘Reflections of the Future’ which includes a mesmerising 100m mirrored corridor of illuminations, this is a light-filled festival you won’t want to miss.

    Choose Love in Carnaby

    Carnaby will be immersed in positive peon neon lightboxes this year, in partnership with charity Choose Love. With uplifting words lit across the entirety of the street, the installation shares a powerful message of love, unity and hope while also paying tribute to the strength of the UK and encouraging us to continue to be hopeful and kind to one another.

  • Marylebone Village Christmas Lights

    Marylebone Village

    Dazzling lights will illuminate the streets of Marylebone Village this year, spreading Christmas cheer with Merry Marylebone. Although you can’t hit the shops, there will be exclusive online discounts of 20 percent at participating retailers on November 11.
