As part of the mission to slow the spread of coronavirus, all UK restaurants, bars and cafes are now closed for the foreseeable. We can, however, still support our favourite eateries in these challenging times by ordering their delicious dishes direct to our homes. Here are some of the best London restaurants offering delivery.

SUPPER London

SUPPER is a high-end food delivery app which promises to bring some of the capital’s best food direct to your sofa. One of their selling points is the quality of food delivered: specialised scooters ensure meals are kept in tip top condition while on the move – and SUPPER works with kitchens to determine which of their dishes will or will not travel well. COYA Mayfair

Enjoy a taste of Peru with COYA en Casa, the new delivery service from the glitzy Mayfair restaurant. The eclectic menu includes a selection of COYA’s signature starters, mains and desserts: a typical meal could include a ceviche starter, wagyu sirloin for the main and their signature cheesecake to finish. The Cinnamon Collection

HIDE

Ollie Dabbous’ restaurant HIDE is taking luxury food delivery to new heights with its takeaway menu, with caviar, barbecued langoustines, burrata and glazed guinea fowl all available to order. The Good Life Eatery

You’ll no doubt have seen The Good Life Eatery on your social feed at some point, thanks to their naturally Instagrammable health food dishes and drinks. Luckily, they taste pretty good too – especially the superfood salads and build-your-own bowls that are packed with goodness as well as exciting and different flavours. Lovers of a good breakfast will be eternally grateful for the skinny benedict and royale – a stroke of genius. Daylesford

Across its restaurants and shops, Daylesford is known for producing some of the country’s freshest food – and now you can enjoy its wholesome delights without having to leave the house. Ottolenghi Notting Hill

Creative, bright, vegetable-based dishes: this is Ottolenghi at his best. If you live in Notting Hill, a Mediterranean feast is just one click away, with Deliveroo dishes from Ottolenghi’s eponymous restaurant including grilled salmon, aubergine bake and a selection of vibrant salads. Gunpowder

In the past, if you wanted Indian food in London you’d be met with two choices: curry house or fancy fine dining. Yet the past few years have seen an influx in mid-range Indian restaurants, inspired in part by the opening of the legendary Dishoom. One of these is Gunpowder, which first launched off Commercial Street in 2015, followed by a second branch in Tower Bridge. Townsend

The recently opened Townsend, found within The Whitechapel Gallery, wowed our managing editor Amy on a recent trip there. In light of the current coronavirus situation, founder Nick Gilkinson has worked with head chef Joe Fox to reconfigure the restaurant’s signature dishes into a delivery friendly ready-to-eat format, available alongside a selection of Nick’s favourite wines. If you can’t make it to the supermarket, Townsend will also be offering supply package boxes: the Kitchen Essentials features things like fresh eggs, dried pasta and chopped tomatoes, while the Seasonal box includes potatoes, seasonal greens, onions and apples. Steven Joyce

Many of us will be missing the experience of being inside a restaurant, but FOLIE founder Guillaume hopes to recreate this with his new private dining service. Chucs

Lucky enough to live around Belgravia? Give yourself a night off cooking and order in from Italian-inspired restaurant Chucs, which recently launched a delivery menu. Go all out with one of the indulgent pasta dishes on offer, such as ricotta and black truffle tortellini, or keep it light with their Instagram-famous Cobb Salad. Benares

Upgrade your Indian takeaway by ordering from Mayfair restaurant Benares, one of the finest Indian restaurants in town.
