British Summer Time – Cancelled

BST Hyde Park

Tom Hancock

Hyde Park is set to be hearing some serious belters this summer, with performances from Taylor Swift, Kendrick Lamar and Little Mix on the cards. Held across two weekends, British Summer Time has been running for six years since kicking off back in 2013 with The Rolling Stones. It’s seen performances from numerous legendary names over the years, including Bon Jovi, Jennifer Lopez and Lionel Richie – who last year returned for a special guest performance with none other than Stevie Wonder.

A statement via the website reads:

‘It is with great sadness that we have made the difficult decision to cancel BST Hyde Park 2020.

‘After closely following government actions and statements during the COVID 19 pandemic, as well as consulting with our partners The Royal Parks and wider agencies, we have concluded that this is the only possible outcome.  This would have been the 8th year of this event and we were looking forward to putting on amazing, unique shows for hundreds of thousands of fans in the world’s greatest outdoor venue.  But safety always comes first.’

Lovebox – Cancelled

Since being founded by DJ Groove Armada 16 years ago, Lovebox has established itself as the dance music event of the summer. This summer, it’s set to return to its new west London location for the third year running, with Tyler, The Creator, Disclosure, Jorja Smith and Khalid all due to feature. The festival appears to be going ahead at this point.

The entire Lovebox family was so excited to share with you the best line-up in our history and to extend the Lovebox vibe across 3 days this year and we send our apologies to everyone who was looking forward to it as much as we were.

Wireless

One of the most well-known festivals on the London calendar, Wireless is a celebration of the newest and best in hip hop, grime and R&B. This year festival-goers are prepping to see A$ap Rocky, Skepta, Burna Boy and Meek Mill take to the stage – and it appears to be going ahead.
