Christchurch Food Festival: postponed to 29-31 August

Set within the picturesque harbour town on the Dorset coast, Christchurch Food Festival is a celebration of the vibrant south coast food scene. Pub in the Park: postponed to mid-August

Tom Kerridge’s Pub in the Park sees a top line-up of chefs and performers touring round the country, last year drawing in over 250,000 visitors. The festival has been postponed, but not cancelled – events will now be running from mid-August as opposed to May, and the vast majority of line-ups will hopefully remain the same. Scottish Wild Food Festival, postponed

Set on the beautiful Cardross Estate, The Scottish Wild Food Festival invites visitors to take part in hands-on foraging, folklore walks, craft workshops and wild food demonstrations. The popular long table lunch will also be returning, offering a culinary banquet focused on wild ingredients. foragingfortnight.co.uk

Bigfoot Festival: postponed until 2021

There’s a new festival on the scene: Bigfoot, making its debut this summer with a three-day celebration of music, entertainment, food and drinks. Taking place in the beautiful grounds of Ragley Hall in Warwickshire, the festival will see over 60 music acts across five stages, alongside an impressive selection of restaurants, chefs, and drinks producers. Heading up the banqueting tent is Douglas McMaster of Silo, alongside Matt Orlando of Copenhagen’s Amass. Together they’ll host Blackout Dining: a sustainable vegetarian feast cooked using no electricity whatsoever, with spots for 200 guests to dine under the stars at candlelit tables. A number of top London restaurants will also be dishing up the goods, alongside a line-up of popular street vendors including Patty & Bun and Dough & Brew. bigfootfestival.co.uk

Body&Soul: cancelled

Body&Soul Festival

Spend the longest day of the year at a food festival in an Irish castle, and thank us later. Dublin’s hidden gem, Ballinlough Castle, will host the three-day event to bring a fantastic culinary line-up from some of the best local innovative gourmet producers – and just to top it off, it will all be paired with champagne. Smoked & Uncut: cancelled

The annual Smoked & Uncut festival is more glamour than grunge, and you can expect a line-up of handpicked classic and contemporary artists as well as home-made street food, local ales and plenty of cocktails. The glamorous foodie’s festival – which takes place across three locations – is famed for its large family-style pop-up restaurant feasts which see some of the country’s best chefs cook up a storm for sold-out communal Feasting tables. Big Feastival, 28-30 August

Food Rocks, 5-6 September

Curated by superstar chef Mark Hix, Food Rocks in Lyme Regis will see the best food and drink producers from around Dorset come together for another year in 2020. Abergavenny Food Festival, 19-20 September

Abergavenny Food Festival is a staple on the summer festival calendar. Perhaps the more high-brow festival on our list, it’s known for bringing together chefs, food businesses, journalists, farmers and food producers who flock to the Welsh town to enjoy talks, demonstrations and, of course, lots of delicious food. Aldeburgh Food and Drink Festival, 26-27 September

Snape Maltings in Suffolk is home to the famous Aldeburgh Music festival, but also the Food & Drink festival which is widely regarded as one of the best in the country. Next September it’s returning for its 15th year, giving guests the opportunity to experience all of Suffolk’s best food and drink under one roof, with a large indoor market, food stalls, masterclasses, events and talks from renowned chefs including Chetna Makan, Thomasina Miers, Tim Anderson and Rosie Birkett. Falmouth Oyster Festival, 8-11 October

Kick off oyster season in style with a visit to Falmouth Oyster Festival, where visitors can enjoy a packed programme of cookery demonstrations, live music and, of course, freshly shucked oysters.
