It’s been a while since I shared a home tour of my Munich apartment here on the blog. Those of you who follow me on Instagram know that I have changed a few bits of my home in the meantime. Luckily, my friend and photographer Ling Khor came over recently and captured the refreshed look in beautiful pictures. So I thought I’d share those here with you to – maybe – inspire you to refresh your home too?

The major change actually encompasses artwork in my living room. I treated myself to a large statement art piece by Berlin based artist Dóra Földes – it was my birthday gift to myself. It is now hanging above the sofa and features a large scale botanical painting with a commissioned touch of green in the upper corner. I love this artwork so much and it truly change the whole vibe of the living room, don’t you agree?

Additionally, I exchange a long time Instagram favorite corner in my living room: the vintage gallery wall above my bar cart. As much as I loved the collected vintage gallery wall, it was time to let go after 2,5 years. I removed all small pieces and replaced it with one art piece by Munich based artist Dieter Kleintje. I found this framed and signed art piece in the Berlin art gallery Artflash. Dieter Kleintje is known for his works in the movement of concrete art where a strong emphasis is put on geometrical abstraction. I really love how this contemporary looking art piece (actually from the 1980s) looks agains the mid-century Danish bar cart.

Other than that there are always little bits and pieces changing in my home. Decoration coming and going, being rearranged, exchanged and more. A new favorite is my recent lamp addition in the hallway: the Eclipse Lamp by Brazilian designer Maurício Klabin from 1982 found at Emossao. Recently I even sold a few pieces including art, furniture and decoration as I want to get a fresh and new look in the apartment.

Do you also have this urge to change your home every now and then? I am not a constant and rapid changer, but after a while I feel I need a new setting to keep the creativity flowing and also feel that the home actually represents myself. And we are changing constantly too, so I find this pretty normal. Let me know your thoughts!
