Leave it to the Danes to make you always crave for something refined and new for your home. This accounts to the latest Nivo shelf by Danish design label Gejst too. When I saw the new shelf in three sizes, I was like: I can see that in my new home. I want that. But hey, let’s first talk about it and then make plans. Shall we?
Gejst is a Danish design label that’s been around since 2013. Their focus is on designing sustainable furniture that will last the test of time. Hence the design is also more minimalistic and timeless – both aspects actually nodding to the tradition of Danish design in general.
The Nivo shelf is not new per se. It has been part of their product range for a while, but now the shelf is being offered in various sizes. Nivo is a minimalistic shelf designed by Böttcher & Kayser from Berlin for Gejst. It looks very sleek and light-weight with invisible screws and matches actually most interiors – because at the end it is you who creates and styles the shelf the way it looks best for your home and interior style.
The new sizes make Nivo also a perfect shelf for various rooms in the home. Whether it is a wall shelf in your living room, an additional shelving unit in the kitchen or even a floating bedside shelf – the options are up to you and your imagination.
What I also like about this shelf is its reasonable price – it is not one of those super beautiful and super expensive design pieces. And still you get a wonderful Scandinavian design piece for your home. I think that’s quite a good deal. And now let me think about this shelf for myself again.
